Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By downloading, installing, or using Uptype, you acknowledge that you have read and accept these terms of service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the application.

2. Service Description

Uptype is an intelligent dictation tool (voice dictation, rewriting, and transcription powered by AI) for macOS and Windows. The app lets you dictate text out loud, transcribe it instantly with punctuation and formatting, edit it by voice, and write directly in your chosen application.

3. User Account

Access to certain features may require creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

4. License

SAS VRM grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Uptype in accordance with these terms. You are not authorized to:

• reproduce, distribute, or modify the application without written permission
• attempt to extract source code or reverse engineer the application
• use the application for unlawful or fraudulent purposes
• circumvent security or usage limitation measures

5. Subscription and Payment

Uptype is offered as a paid subscription at €7.99 per user per month, or €79.99 per user per year. A 7-day free unlimited trial with no payment method required is available at sign-up. Payment is processed by a secure payment provider.

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are given for partial periods, except as required by applicable law.

6. Data and Privacy

Your use of Uptype is subject to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these terms. We encourage you to review it to understand how your data is collected, processed, and protected.

7. Availability and Maintenance

We strive to keep Uptype accessible and operational, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability. Maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control may cause temporary interruptions.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SAS VRM shall not be liable for indirect damages, data loss, loss of profits, or business interruption resulting from the use or inability to use Uptype.

9. Intellectual Property

Uptype, its code, design, trademarks, and all content are the exclusive property of SAS VRM or its licensors. Nothing in these terms transfers any ownership right to you.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to Uptype if you violate these terms. Upon termination, you must cease all use of the application. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by French law. Any dispute relating to their interpretation or enforcement falls under the jurisdiction of French courts.
